Ring has been shortlisted in the Yorkshire Post Excellence in Business Awards 2018, with a nomination in the “Turnover of between £10m and £50m” category, sponsored by Grant Thornton.
The awards are held annually, and celebrate the best businesses in the region. The shortlist has been arrived at after a five hour judging session, in which the panel selected the top performers based on applications and site visits.
Ring joins four other nominees in this competitive category. This year saw the second highest number of applicants, and the winners will be unveiled in a ceremony on 1st November at the York Railway Museum.
Andrew Devonald, Marketing and Business Development Senior Manager for
Grant Thornton and a judge for this year’s awards comments: “The calibre of
entries in this year’s awards was outstanding and Ring is fully deserving of its
place on the list. The judges were particularly impressed with the innovation
and commitment to quality that the business has.
"We hadn’t realised how complex the business is, nor how far its reach
goes beyond the range of products that we are more familiar with. We wish the
team the best of luck.”
Henry Bisson, Marketing Manager at Ring, says: “We are delighted to be nominated in such a high profile category at this year’s awards. Yorkshire is a huge area, with a vast number and range of businesses and it’s an honour to be included as one of the top businesses.”
The nomination comes at the end of an exciting year for Ring, which included investments in its new Future Technologies Unit, European Head Office and Quality Assurance facilities, along with new product innovations and a strategic new rebrand. All this positions Ring for future growth and continued excellence in delivering quality products and service for our customers.
