The volunteer marshals (Orange Army) at any motorsport event, are the key component for any such event taking place.
Without the marshals there would be no motorsport.
So to say thanks to the marshals Ring has started to work with local rally organisers to see what support we can offer.
We dipped our toes in the water at the Phil Price Memorial Woodpecker Rally, that took place in early September on forest roads near to Ludlow, Shropshire. The event had a bumper field of over 160 rally cars taking part, ranging from historic Ford Escort Mk II vehicles to modern-day World Rally Championship machinery.
Ring offered a MAGflex Slim 500 inspection lamp to the post-event prize draw, where all marshals were in with a chance of taking home some special automotive equipment or rally memorabilia.
This weekend (23-25th September) we attended Trackrod Rally Yorkshire, the penultimate rally of the British Rally Championship.
We were delighted to be able to offer 50 goody bags to marshals at the event.
Henry Bisson, marketing director at Ring, said: “Marshals are a cornerstone of British motorsport events and it’s great to give something back to the volunteers without whom we wouldn’t have motorsport events, whether on the stages or on the circuits. We will look to support marshals plus wider race and rally weekends where we can going forward.”
