Ring continues to be a supporter of TyreSafe, the UK’s charity dedicated to raising awareness of the importance of correct tyre maintenance and the dangers of defective and illegal tyres.
As a supporter, Ring will help spread the key messages of TyreSafe’s campaigns and support the charity in its ongoing awareness raising.
The TyreSafe Charity will run a host of events and PR communication initiatives to raise awareness of the importance of tyres to motorists throughout October.
They will focus on ACT – Air Pressure | Condition | Tread three main areas that drivers need to pay attention to.
TyreSafe was formed in 2006 to reduce the number of tyre-related incidents on Britain’s roads through raising awareness of the importance of tyre maintenance and the dangers of defective and illegal tyres. Since its inception, TyreSafe’s activities have helped reduce the number of people killed or seriously injured each year in a tyre related accident by 46%.
Henry Bisson, Marketing Manager at Ring, says: “Tyres are the only point of contact with the road, so it’s vital that motorists understand how to maintain them properly. As such, the work TyreSafe does to raise awareness of the issues and educate drivers is essential and we’re delighted to offer our support to their ongoing campaigns.”
