Ring Promotes Tyre Safety in Lancaster
This past Sunday, Henry Bisson of Ring Automotive made his way to Lancaster to offer support to the Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service and Road Safety Campaigner Sophie Lynden during their Tyre Safety Check event.
The significance of tyres as the sole point of contact between a vehicle and the road cannot be overstated. Maintaining proper tyre condition is crucial for effective handling and braking. The event aimed to raise awareness among motorists about the importance of tyre care and to educate them on necessary precautions.
Despite our strategic location in the heart of Lancaster town centre, where we anticipated a high turnout of drivers, the weather took an unfortunate turn. Torrential rain persisted for the next four hours.
Nevertheless, we persevered in inspecting cars, and the findings were startling. Among the vehicles examined, 50% exhibited issues with at least one of their tyres—ranging from uneven wear, insufficient tread depth and low pressure, to the use of tyres beyond their recommended lifespan (over 10 years).
This small yet revealing sample underscores the crucial need to ensure that motorists are well-informed about proper tyre maintenance practices, ultimately enhancing the safety of their vehicles. As part of our initiative, Ring provided digital pressure gauges to visitors, empowering them to monitor their tyres independently in the future.
Ring Automotive boasts an array of award-winning tyre care products, including inflators, pressure gauges, and emergency puncture repair solutions. Guarantee optimal tyre performance by maintaining the correct inflation pressure, thereby enhancing grip, efficiency, and reducing overall wear.
