Ring Supports Top Technician with Tools for the Trade
Ring, the leading supplier of lighting and accessories for the automotive aftermarket, provided market leading tools that were used by 10 shortlisted garage mechanics when they battled it out for a place in the final of Top Technician 2016.
With a full range of equipment available, the organisers behind the competition chose the MAGflex Twist LED Inspection Lamp as their preferred tool of choice. Rotating 360 degrees and with 180 degree ratcheting, this handy and hard-wearing lamp gives exceptional light output - the COB LED provides 250 lumens.
Producing a light that is similar to daylight, the MAGflex Twist also has a magnet for hands-free use, is rechargeable and cordless and has an anti-slip grip. With a mains charger and batteries included, it is lightweight, and ready to use.
Providing a pure white light that replicates natural daylight, the RWL20 Cordless LED Worklight gives 1,800 lumens of output. The wide angle of light output supports visibility in even the darkest of workshops. The adjustable floor stand allows a mechanic to position the light, which has uniform intensity, where required.
The cool operating temperature brings additional comfort and safety to the workshop, while the rubber coated edge and carry handle prevents scratches.
Ring also supplied its ProStart Mini 12V 440CA PowerPack. Powerful and portable, this pack is ideal for motor technicians that have to regularly jump start a number of vehicles in workshops and dealerships.
With pure lead AGM batteries for high amperage starting, the PowerPack will start diesel engines up to 2.0L. The shatterproof polymer casing means the pack is durable, as well as having illuminated battery and charge meter.
Double-insulated pure copper starting cables, with cast bronze jaws with bridging strap, makes this PowerPack a must-have for any automotive or aftermarket professional.
Marketing Manager for Ring, Henry Bisson, comments: “We have a full range of products that have been developed with the mechanic in mind. We know that technicians rely on their tools and that is why they have to be durable as well as doing the job they are intended for.
He adds: “We hope that the shortlisted candidates in the Top Technician awards were able to use test the products and to see how they perform in a practical setting. With our inspection lamp, worklight and PowerPack it was at least one less challenge for them to have to think about, as they were able to feel reassured that they were supported by top quality trade equipment from Ring.”
