Ring’s multisockets win high praise from Auto Express
Ring’s RMS18 Twin USB Multisocket and the RMS10 12V and USB Multisocket have been tested by Auto Express, with both being highly praised, and the RMS10 being named the “Versatile Winner”.
The high-acclaimed auto magazine tested the RMS10 – which had previously been named the best product on the market by the magazine – and the RMS18 against a new product release from another company. All three were tested on price, ease of use and how well they fared charging two iPad 2s, a pair of iPhones and a Kindle Paperwhite.
The RMS10 held onto its crown as the best product tested. The reviewer said it is “well built” and that the cupholder design is “a good storage solution”, with the coiled cable being “neat”. It was easily powerful enough to charge all the devices tested with it. The RMS10’s extra features like the vehicle battery monitor and the plug’s collar that allows it to fit securely in any sized 12V socket were identified as marking it out as a winner and deserving of the five star rating.
The RMS18 also tested well, winning four stars and being named the best “compact choice”. The device’s two 3.5amp USB ports “easily revived our iPads”, and the “tiny size” and discreet power light, which won’t distract when driving at night, were the key reasons it scored so highly. The review states that “for quick charging, look no further than Ring”.
These recent excellent reviews continue a promising start to 2016 for Ring. See our other awards and reviews from 2016 here, or find out more about our entire in-car multi-socket range.
