New Ring Smart Chargers Are the Next Generation of Battery Care

A new range of smart chargers is set to transform how we care for vehicle batteries. Slim line, intuitive and versatile, Ring’s latest Smart Charger range is the easy way to charge, protect and repair vehicle batteries more quickly and easily.

The range can charge up to twice as fast as a comparative standard charger. A 6A linear charger will take up to 20 hours to recharge a 60Ah battery, whereas Ring’s Advanced Smart Battery Charger will take only 10 hours. The entire range is suitable for lead acid, gel, AGM, EFB and calcium batteries, with the 6A Advanced Charger also suitable for Lithium batteries.

All are ideal for START/STOP vehicles, which have to be charged using a smart charger. With 80% of newly manufactured vehicles in the European car parc expected to be START/STOP by 2019, more and more motorists will need a smart charger to make sure their battery remains in good condition.

Ring’s new Smart Charger range uses advanced circuit design and high performance miniaturised components, along with microprocessor controls, to reduce the size of the chargers to compact, slim devices. They are easy to store and have the good looks of modern, sleek devices, rather than a workshop component. They have been designed to be one-touch and easy to use – you don’t need to select the size, battery type or charging cycle, as the Smart Chargers will automatically apply the best charge for the vehicle.
 

The 6A Advanced Smart Charger provides complete battery care for vehicles up to 3.5L. It will charge, protect and repair through an eight stage charging cycle, which will recondition the battery to improve performance and help extend the battery’s life. The 6A Advanced Smart Charger also has a winter charge mode, which allows the charger to adapt to cold weather and charge effectively even as the temperature drops. It also features fast and slow charging cycles, with the extra option to charge lithium batteries.

With its one-touch design, small size (similar to the size of a smart phone) the 4A Smart Charger combines smart charge innovation with ease of use. There’s just one button to select the fast charge cycle, which quickly charges and protects, or the slow charge cycle, which is ideal for long term connection. This is the ideal option for fast, easy battery maintenance in vehicles up to 2.0L.

The 1A Smart Maintenance Charger is for long-term connection. It will keep batteries topped up, without overcharging - ideal for infrequently used vehicles including classic cars and motorcycles.

There is also the RSCBM Smart Battery Monitor, which gives a charge level indication of the battery. Easy to attach, and with traffic-light system for charge levels, this allows motorists to get an instant indication of the charge levels in their battery. It is compatible with all three of the new Ring Smart Chargers.
