Ring wins Made in Yorkshire Automotive Award 2017
Ring has won the
Made in Yorkshire Automotive Award 2017, given to the Yorkshire automotive company that the judges deemed to have had the biggest impact on the region over the past twelve months. The triumph means that Ring will now be entered into the
Made in the UK Awards, which will be presented on 22nd June at the Merseyside Maritime Museum, Liverpool.
Ring accepted the award at the ceremony last night, 20th April 2017, at the Royal Armouries in central Leeds. Held by Insider Media Ltd – the company behind
Yorkshire Business Insider magazine – the awards are designed to celebrate the very best in Yorkshire businesses. Ian Leech, editor on Yorkshire Business Insider, said, “The standard of entry was exceptional.” The event was compered by Hustle actor Alexis Conran, and Dr Graham Honeyman as the main speaker.
The Automotive Award was one of 10 categories, comprising 37 shortlisted companies. Other awards included Export Award, Food & Drink award and Manufacturer of the Year – split into two awards, one for businesses with a turnover of less than £25million, one for businesses with a turnover of over £25million.
